Rates ~~

One night stay for 2 guests ~~ $200

Two or more nights for 2 guests ~~ $175 per night

Due to the increased costs for utilities on the mountain for more than 2 people, the rate increases $20 per person mostly

Holidays subject to slightly higher rate

I'm only offering the cabin to friends and friends of friends and extended community. The cabin will not be for rent on Air B and B or any other commercial rental companies. One of the perks of this is although I will appreciate knowing your approximate check in and check out times, I am not strict about arrival and departure times during your stay which will allow for a longer stay. The exception will be when I have back-to-back guests. Sharing this home is a way for me to sustain it, and to help create a future for the property and a space for retreat.

The cabin is open to hosting retreats. Please contact me for more details.

For those of you who may need a sliding scale please don’t hesitate to let me know what you can reasonably afford.

Trade or bartering ~ I am open to a hybrid of sliding scale rate with some kind of a trade or bartering. If you have something special you do or something you might want to trade or barter with me in exchange for a lower rate, let’s discuss.

A few things to note ~ the cabin is very high up on a hill and requires some effort to reach the cabin. There are steps from the driveway to a short but steep-ish winding dirt path, and then more steps to the cabin. The driveway is narrow, and requires a car that isn’t too low to the ground to drive up it.

The cabin isn’t super safe for young kids given that the stairs to the loft inside are open. Please use discretion.

Small /medium dogs are welcome as long as you wipe their paws and are mindful of the obvious considerations.

Your host ~~

My name is Tamala Poljak (they/them). I grew up in Los Angeles and, as a child, spent much time in the local mountains. I never dreamed I would be a steward of a home and land such as this, but here we are.

My long-term vision is to collaborate in a sustainable way with others, creating art and music; making meaning of life; and finding connection, peace and fun together. To get there, I plan to collaborate with some others to put on small music events and provide a space for writing and art-making retreats in the coming years. Who knows? Maybe some of us will build on the land and live together as elders.

I cherish my friends and, by extension, those who are their community. I am privileged to steward this land and create a space with intention where one can find calm and feel peace.
